Open Enrollment 2026–2027
Welcome to benefits open enrollment. Everything you need to make your elections is right here — read through it and use your enrollment resources to choose the best plans for you.
This year, Big Blue Marble Academy requires that all employees log into their Paycor account and elect or waive all benefits for the 2026 Open Enrollment.
What's changing for 2026–2027
We have changed carriers from Mutual of Omaha to Lincoln Financial Group. Your Dental, Vision, Basic Life AD&D, Voluntary Life AD&D, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and Voluntary Worksite (Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital) will be administered by Lincoln effective November 1, 2026. If you are enrolled in these benefits, please inform your providers of the carrier change when seeking care. The new Lincoln contact numbers and website are in the new benefit guides.
- BCBS is the Major Medical benefits carrier with the same three plan designs.
- The MEC plans remain with Pan American with no changes in the rates.
- Dental with Lincoln has an increased maximum benefit, with costs slightly decreased.
- Vision with Lincoln has increased most allowances, and costs have decreased slightly.
- Short Term Disability costs with Lincoln have decreased slightly for the same benefit amounts.
- Basic Life and AD&D, Long Term Disability, Voluntary Life and AD&D, and Voluntary Worksite (Critical Illness, Accident and Hospital) costs will not change with the move to Lincoln Financial.
Note: Moving to Lincoln Financial allows us to offer a true open enrollment in Life, Disability, and Voluntary benefits without Evidence of Insurability (EOI) up to the Guarantee Issue (GI) amount. This is a great opportunity to make sure you have the right coverage amounts for you and your dependents. Any request for amounts over the GI will require you to submit EOI paperwork.
Next steps
First, read your enrollment materials, including your benefits guide. Consider your options carefully and make informed decisions. Be ready to enroll starting September 21.
- 1Gather information for any dependents and beneficiaries you need to update, including date of birth and address.
- 2Self-enroll by logging into your Paycor account and elect or waive all of your benefits, making any necessary changes. The deadline is October 9.
